Casa Terral
Named after the hot wind that blows down into Málaga from the mountains. A neighbourhood bar with a short menu, long lunches and a terrace that fills by itself in summer. We imagined how we'd build its brand and its bookings, for locals and visitors alike.
Loved by regulars, invisible to everyone else.
A bar like this lives on word of mouth. But half the people walking past are visitors searching "tapas near me" in English, and the bookings arrive through WhatsApp, phone and a paper diary. The brief: look like it's been there for forty years, get found in two languages, and take bookings without anyone picking up the phone mid-service.
Whitewash, almagra red and a wind you can draw.
The logo is lettered like a sign-painter’s fascia: a quick script “Casa” leaning on a fat italic “Terral”, easy to paint above a door or stamp on a napkin. The palette comes from the street: almagra red, lime-washed white and late-afternoon gold. The website puts the menu, the hours and a booking button first, in Spanish and English, with the Google profile and Instagram telling the same story.
The system
A hand-painted script for “Casa” and a soft, chunky italic serif for “Terral”, like the signs over old bars in El Perchel. Plain grotesque for prices and opening hours.
